What are the definitions of a contestant, a semifinalist and a finalist, and what are the benefits accruing to each of these?

• A Contestant is any entrepreneur, inventor, student, or business person with a brilliant clean technology start-up that fits the specifications for and requirements of either of the two Competition tracks in the three Categories, who is looking to take the company to the next level. All contestants will receive feedback on their submission.
• Following adjudication of the entries by all contestants, Semifinalists will be selected from each of the two tracks. All semifinalists will receive mentoring, access to Cleantech Competition training and mentoring events.
• Finalists will be selected from the semifinalists in each of the two tracks, adjudicated to present the best innovations and pitch based on their refined and expanded submissions and. Finalists will receive one-on-one mentoring by business professionals, plus access to investors and potential customers. Each finalist will receive a prize package of cash and business services.
